Promotional Magnets
You can use promotional magnets to advertise and promote your business in a number of ways:
1. As A High Visibility Business Card
A colorful, well-designed fridge magnet featuring your company logo and contact
details can be a useful promotional tool in two ways.
While a business card serves one simple but essential purpose, that of providing your customers with a quick and easy way of making contact, a fridge magnet has the added advantage of being a useful tool in its own right. Your customer can use it to attach important documents and/or photographs to his or her fridge.
Because it serves a function other than simply promoting your business, a promotional magnet has less chance of being lost or discarded than a business card.
2. As A Promotional Tool
If you include a special offer on each of your promotional magnets, as discussed in our article on Promotional Fridge Magnets, you exponentially increase their ability to attract additional business.
3. As A Souvenir Item
You can create a promotional magnet to celebrate a particular milestone in your business's evolution, such as a 10-year anniversary or serving your
10,000th customer. If your business sponsors an annual event, such as a swimming carnival or a writing competition, you can create promotional magnets to celebrate these.
If you operate a business that attracts visitors, such as a country inn or a family restaurant, you can sell or give away promotional magnets with a photograph of your venue and the address. Kinbrook has designed a number of promotional magnets for theme parks and tourist
attractions.
4. As A Fundraising Tool
If you're part of a church, school, service organization or charitable institution, you can sell promotional magnets to raise funds for a specific project or to help cover running costs.
Promotional magnets can be sold door to door, in church stalls, craft markets and other places where people gather to browse and buy.
Ask retail businesses that support your organization to offer your promotional magnets for sale on their front counters.
5. As An Inspirational Gift
You can create a promotional magnet using an inspirational image and/or message, with a small, unobtrusive reference to your business in one corner or on the back of the magnet.
Distribute these to your customers as small but attractive gifts. Customers appreciate it when a business acknowledges their value in this way. And while this isn't as overtly promotional as the other examples listed, its real value is in the positive emotional response it elicits in your customer.
